The shortest male do on the entire list is the medium length style of True Blood’s Joe Manganiello, and from there they only get longer including Game of Thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Thor’s Chris Hemsworth, and the always hot Brad Pitt with a messy mane that dips past his shoulders. When asked what direction she thought men’s hair would take in the next five years, Sandra Nygaard, Fashion Director at Men’s Health Magazine, said long hair is here to stay for a while even adding that “maybe a new version of grunge is ready to rise again”.
A guy’s hair doesn’t have to be unkempt or halfway down his back to be in in 2014 though. American Crew founder, David Raccuglia says “the Pompadour seems to be leading the pack this year” as a specific most popular style which features long hair on the crown swept back over the top of the head in contrast to shorter hair on the sides (think Elvis Pressley here). And he’s not the only one who thinks so. Fashion Beans featured the modernized style as their Key 2014 Hairstyle for Men in which stylist Dion Padan calls it “a timeless and versatile hairstyle that is only set to become more popular in 2014.”
