At New Look Institute we believe it is important for businesses to give back. So many people in the world are in need and if you are fortunate enough to have all of your daily needs met then giving to others is the right and charitable thing to do. We recently began giving monthly donations to a wonderful organization called “When I Grow up – Empowering Children in Extreme Poverty”.
Formed in 2006, “When I Grow Up” is a non-profit charity, which is designed to improve the quality of life for poverty stricken children in Kenya, Haiti, and Guatemala. They reach the children through partners already living within the impoverished communities. They supply these partners with the money and leadership support needed to accomplish whatever has to be done to improve the lives of the children in need. Basic provisions like food, clothing, and an education are what stems from any donations they receive.
It’s a charity that works from the ground up. They do not rely on Governments for help; instead they empower grass roots organizations, which in turn empower the children. The name “When I Grow Up” was chosen because it focuses on giving children living in extreme poverty a future full of hope where their dreams can come true.
